Indies Head Online to Celebrate Mardi Gras

NEW YORK—Like most things in 2020 and 2021, Mardi Gras this year is looking a lot different. New Orleans’ annual parade was cancelled, prompting locals to celebrate Yardi Gras instead, but by no means does a parade cancellation mean that the spirit of the holiday is suffering. Mardi Gras remains a day of celebration for many—including independent ECPs in the New Orleans area (and some far away) who took to social media to celebrate in the small ways they could.

In Midwest City, Oklahoma, the Midwest City Eye Care team celebrated Mardi Gras with a pretty graphic, and an irresistible offer to help patients choose colorful, Mardi Gras-appropriate frames. Image via midwestcityeyecareassociates on Instagram.

Of course, New Orleans-based independent eyewear brand Krewe went all out for Mardi Gras, and shared an image of its fun décor on Instagram. Image via krewe on Instagram.

Mardi Gras celebrations take place outside the U.S., too. Italian trade show Mido joined the party on Instagram. Image via mido_exhibition on Instagram.
