By now, many of us are probably starting to think about our holiday purchases. From gifts to personal treats to party necessities, there’s rarely a shortage of things to buy around the holiday season. This year, the National Retail Federation (NRF) said it expects holiday retail sales during November and December to increase between 3.8 percent and 4.2 percent compared with 2018. The expected total spend will hit between $727.9 billion and $730.7 billion—and that’s excluding automobile dealers, gasoline stations and restaurants.

According to a recent survey conducted by Deloitte, Millennials are just as ambitious as previous generations, but their priorities have “evolved.” Deloitte’s “Global Millennial Survey 2019” showed that traditional markers of adulthood such as having children and buying homes are not at the top of most Millennials’ list of priorities—instead, many are more interested in travelling, seeing the world, and making a positive impact in their own communities.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.—Findings from a new survey show that half of the people in the U.S. are neglecting their eyes despite 84 percent of people rating vision as their most important sense. This disconnect occurs because people don’t understand the importance of annual eye exams and its connection to overall health, said VSP Vision Care and market research agency YouGov, which recently released these findings.
