MILAN, Italy—Mido, which is scheduled to take place here February 8 through 10, 2025, has released the lineup for The Vision Stage, its area dedicated to workshops, seminars, conferences, events and roundtable. The space was formerly known as The Otticlub, and has been reimagined this year, organizers said, which “signifies a new phase of evolution and growth, and marks a pivotal shift in positioning, intended to reflect the expansion of its activities and to emphasize the core essence of this space as a place of dialog and discovery.”
The Vision Stage will have three days of programming covering a variety of topics that are important to the industry, including digitization, innovation, social responsibility, Made in Italy, sustainability, empowerment of women and market trends. The main sustainability-related event is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10.
The event is titled “The challenges of sustainability: eyewear and the need for change,” and will be hosted by Marialuisa Pezzali, an author and host at Italy’s Radio24, and Anna Zandanel, a sustainability and innovation design consultant. Their conversations will analyze the role of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria in the eyewear industry. The event is curated by ANFAO.
