The MBA comes to South Florida, in a
collaboration with PEN and ABB CONCISE.

FORT LAUDERDALE—The MBA came to South Florida for the first time, as 65 ECPs gathered by the ocean’s edge to hear the MBA faculty share their collective wisdom on the business side of the optometric practice.

The MBA, which is sponsored by CIBA VISION and Essilor, was held Oct. 23-24, at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and Spa here. The event was promoted and hosted by the Primary Eyecare Network (PEN) and ABB CONCISE, as part of their Preserving Independent Optometry (PIO) series of meetings. The MBA has been presented at other PIO events in California, but this was the first collaborative effort in this region. More such collaborations are being explored for 2011.
