The Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services have begun a cross-government public inquiry into “private-equity and other corporations’ increasing control over health care.” As part of the announcement, the government has opened a public comment period, where it’s invited people to notify them of their experiences with consolidation and/or private equity’s presence in medicine.
