MISSISSAUGA, Ontario—Ophthalmic lens technology leader Hoya Vision Care announced this week that Steven Haifawi has been named president of Hoya Vision Care, Canada. In this position, Haifawi will be responsible for providing the vision for growth, short- and long-term company strategy, and commercial leadership for Canada. Haifawi is highly regarded as a collaborative and engaging leader who brings a wealth of knowledge and an array of industry experience to the position, according to the announcement from Hoya Vision Care.

He joins Hoya Vision Care with more than 15 years of experience at Carl Zeiss Vision where he made significant impact to the business. Most recently, Haifawi was the head of Vision Technology Solutions (VTS) at Zeiss where he delivered exceptional results for the business. Prior to that, he was a senior director of Customer Service, having driven the company's customer experience transformation.

Haifawi graduated from the Australian Institute of Business where he received a graduate diploma in management and a master's degree in business administration.
