NEWARK, N.J.—Young men and women throughout our industry are playing key roles in all sectors of optical, including retailing, wholesaling, product design, manufacturing, distribution and vision care, often shaping the direction of the companies, practices and organizations where they work. In 2025, Vision Monday will be highlighting this ambitious group of 30 Under 30 in our March issue as we spotlight these young voices who are already making their mark and changing the game of the eyewear/eyecare industry.

"We are thrilled to be kicking off an issue of Vision Monday magazine devoted to featuring up-and-coming members of the optical industry," said Anne Cooper, editorial director of Vision Monday and 20/20. "By turning the spotlight on this next generation of innovative industry leaders, dedicated care providers and devoted educators, we hope to highlight the great work being accomplished now that will carry us into the future."

We are currently seeking nominations via an electronic survey form. The deadline for submitting nominations is Dec. 31. For this year’s inaugural report, please consider candidates who are making a difference in the following five categories:

C-Suite Achievers: Candidates who hold leadership positions, such as senior-level executives or managers, chief officers, and directors, and lead their companies forward.

Entrepreneurial Innovators: Candidates who pioneer new or creative ways of working, spearhead product ideation or company initiatives and drive tangible business efficiencies in the areas of manufacturing, technology, retail, marketing or vision care services.

Industry Disruptors: Candidates who bring fresh ideas to the table and think outside the box in all sectors of the optical industry.

Elevated Educators: Candidates who teach or mentor colleagues, students, peers or others in an effort to support educational accomplishments or further careers within the vision care and eyewear industry.

On The Fast Track: Candidates who are on track to take on leadership or executive roles in patient care, education and business environments within optical early in their careers.
