NEWARK, N.J.—The Jobson Optical Group has announced that Brett Schumacher has joined the team as director of sales and marketing for the Jobson Retail Optical Group, comprised of 20/20, Vision Monday and PAA publishing groups. In his new role, Schumacher will be responsible for all sales and marketing activity for the group. Schumacher brings over 20 years of experience, joining Jobson from Team Vision, a unit of EssilorLuxottica, where he was East Coast regional manager. Prior to that, he was general manager of Metro Optics Eyewear in New York and vice president of operations for OPTYX, LLC, also located in New York.

Bill Scott, president of the Jobson Optical Group, said, “Brett brings a deep understanding of the retail side of our industry. His experience and knowledge will enable our sales and marketing staff to gain a better understanding of reader and user needs, and in turn provide our supporters and advertisers with more defined deliverables and increased return on investment.”

Both the marketing and sales staff will report directly to Schumacher. His first day with Jobson will be Monday, August 26. He will be based at Jobson’s Newark, N.J. headquarters, and he can be reached at bschumacher@jobson.com.
