Girisha Chandraraj.

MANSFIELD, Mass.—Hilco Vision, a provider of eyecare products to ECPs and consumers, and a member of the Windjammer Capital Investors family of companies, has announced the appointment of Girisha Chandraraj as chief executive officer, effective September 3. The role was formerly held by Ross Brownlee. The company cited Chandraraj's strong track record, including serving as CEO at Marbles: The Brain Store and Elite Sportswear, as well as at Careismatic Brands, where he led the transformation of the business into an integrated, scalable platform.

His experience also includes delivering best-in-class digital solutions for both industry partners and consumers, driving operational efficiency initiatives and developing leading brands that align with customer needs, the company noted.

“The background Girisha brings to the CEO role will allow Hilco Vision to build on its brands, distribution partnerships and infrastructure capabilities to continue to meet customer needs in the rapidly changing area of eye health,” said Matt Anderson, managing director at Windjammer Capital.

“I am excited to be joining Hilco Vision. The company has built a strong portfolio of leading brands, such as Bruder Healthcare for dry eye, M&S Technologies for exam lane solutions, OnGuard for prescription safety, Hilco and B&S for optical tools, and Croakies for eyewear retainers," Chandraraj said. "In addition, Hilco Vision has spent the last two years investing in its infrastructure globally. Given the breadth of the product offering and operational investments, Hilco Vision is well positioned to be a key independent partner for eyecare professionals.”

Hilco Vision provides eyewear and eyecare solutions, and has direct subsidiaries in the United States, Canada, the UK, Germany, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Belgium and the Netherlands. The company’s product portfolio encompasses prescription safety, lens care, eyewear accessories, lab and dispensing, dry eye solutions, exam supplies and vision testing products.
