PARIS—Thélios has named a new CEO, as announced by Andrea Guerra, CEO of LVMH Hospitality Excellence and a member of the LVMH Executive Committee. The new CEO is Alessandro Zanardo, whose appointment is effective immediately. "With the full acquisition of Thélios by the Group, we are delighted to begin this new chapter under the supervision of Alessandro," Guerra commented. The announcement added, "Alessandro's leadership skills, forward-thinking vision and extensive experience in large organizations will be key to maintain Thélios in a sustainable major player position in the eyewear industry. We wish him a warm welcome and great success in his new role."

Zanardo started his career at Ferrari in 2002. He then joined Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in 2007. Between 2010 and 2021, he held a series of positions at Luxottica Group, such as business and development director in Russia, country manager in South Africa, and, most recently, general manager in Brazil.

As reported by VMAIL in December, LVMH announced that Thélios would become an integrated subsidiary of the LVMH luxury group.

Zanardo is a graduate of the SDA Bocconi University (MBA in International Economics) and holds a degree of economics and management from the same university.

An LVMH spokesperson told VMAIL that Zanardo will be based in both Paris and Longarone, Italy.
