Quick Take: Morel is debuting its sun collection in collaboration with (RED), a collaboration announced earlier this year. Morel also released optical styles in the collection.  
Specifics: The sun collection is made up of 9 styles, each of which will come in a turnkey display box which includes a message from MOREL that expresses the impact of this partnership. Each style will offer a full red design, with additional options in black, grey, tortoise, gold, or crystal. Morel’s cat symbol has also been worked into (RED)’s signature parentheses, visible on each end tip. The color red shines through a variety of materials ranging from stainless steel, bronze, aluminum, titanium, and high-definition acetate.
Selling Point: For every (MOREL) RED frame purchased, MOREL will donate $5 to the Global Fund, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $100,000. Founded in 2006, (RED) partners with iconic brands across all categories to create (RED) products and experiences that raise money for the Global Fund, one of the world’s largest funders of global health. (RED) began with the goal of fighting AIDS, and is now responding to both AIDS and the COVID-19 pandemic. To date, (RED) has generated nearly $700 million for the Global Fund, helping more than 245 million people.
