Quick Take: Zeiss Vision Care announces the launch of Zeiss Light 2 lenses, a new progressive lens portfolio built for first-time and mature progressive lens wearers.
Specifics: Lightweight and thin for continued comfort, Zeiss Light 2 lenses’ modern design provides wearers with natural vision at all distances. Zeiss’ signature EasyFocus technology considers the eye’s inclination, the power profile, and the binocular vision of the left and right eye to optimize the vision needs of all wearers at all distances. An optimized near reading zone, available on most Light 2 lenses, improves the ease of reading on digital devices like smartphones and tablets.
Zeiss Light 2 lenses will be available very soon to all independent Zeiss eyecare professionals nationwide. Zeiss Light 2 progressive lenses are available in three versions; 3Dv, 3D and D. The lenses are designed based on the wearer’s visual needs and frames. All versions of the lens will be available for order by Nov. 4 in most leading practice management systems, as well as ZEISS Visustore. The lens will be available in Eyefinity by mid-November.
Selling Point: Jens Boy, president of Zeiss Vision Care North America said, “With the introduction of our Zeiss Light 2 lenses, we’re now able to offer industry-leading, advanced Zeiss technology to consumers at every price point. Few optical manufacturers have high-quality freeform lenses across all price tiers. This product expansion allows us to serve patients across age ranges and vision needs, providing clear and natural vision for all.”
