A.I. in Eye Care will post new content weekly, with subscribers regularly receiving email updates sharing original feature articles, news announcements, A.I. tools for eye care, resources for further reference and more.

A.I. is entering every business segment, promising to augment capabilities and efficiencies in all professions and industries like no other new technology before, the announcement said. A.I. in Eye Care was developed to ensure that eye care professionals have access to the latest news, resources, technologies and education available about A.I. as it relates directly to the health care profession overall and their eye care practices specifically.

A.I. in Eye Care is curated by two leading practitioners in the field—optometrist Dr. Scot Morris, OD, and ophthalmologist Dr. Rehan Ahmed, MD. Dr. Morris has practiced for 25 years in various clinical settings and served as a technology author, magazine chief optometric editor, corporate advisor, practice consultant and prominent educator. He started or cofounded multiple companies within the eye care industry and participated in multiple clinical trials.

“A.I. is poised to bring greater change to the industry than any other technology in our lifetime, and we will be there to help guide you on your A.I. journey with A.I. in Eye Care, the first journal of its kind, designed to enlighten and educate readers about the pervasive changes that A.I. is bringing to all facets of the eye care industry,” said Dr. Morris.

Dr. Ahmed is a practicing ophthalmologist and chief medical officer at Blink, a start-up in remote ocular health care. He has extensive experience in the wide spectrum of eye care, ranging from direct medical and surgical patient care to managing medical optometry and ophthalmology practice environments to innovating in drug and device development.

"As an ophthalmologist, I see A.I. in Eye Care as a way to stay connected to the major trends and innovations driven by all players in eye care, and I'm excited to help bring these insights to our field," said Dr. Ahmed.

A.I. in Eye Care will ensure that all eye care professionals are regularly apprised of how their eye care practices are being digitally transformed by the artificial intelligence revolution, the announcement said.
