ST. LOUIS—EyeCare Partners LLC has announced that Brian Sawyer has been named chief information officer (CIO), effective November 21, 2024. Sawyer reports to Joel Day, chief financial officer, and is a key member of the executive leadership team, with full responsibility for information technology (IT) strategy, resources and operations, according to the company's announcement. He had served as interim in the role since September of this year. “Brian has a record of fostering collaboration across business and clinical operations, which is vital as he helps shape a multi-year plan to deliver innovative, differentiated eyecare experiences and strengthen our connection with patients,” said Day.

“Brian will play a critical role in developing an IT roadmap that drives operational excellence across our network as well as supports seamless integration supporting growth and new locations,” Day said.

“My focus continues to be aligning technology with the company’s strategic goals to drive efficiency, scalability and exceptional patient experiences,” said Sawyer. “Working with our business leaders, we’ll leverage the power of data, digital platforms and cloud technology to empower our teams, streamline operations and enhance the care we deliver.”

Sawyer joined EyeCare Partners in December 2020 as vice president, digital experience and omnichannel product management, where he worked on the company’s proprietary E360+ PM/EMR strategy and development, as well as the transformation strategy for ECP’s digital platforms. Most recently, the company noted, he served as vice president, digital products in charge of product development and engineering for the company's patient- and practice-facing platforms. Prior to joining EyeCare Partners, Sawyer had more than 25 years’ experience leading enterprise digital transformations for brands across health care, travel and hospitality, and retail and consumer goods.
