MISSION VIEJO, Calif.—Total Vision, a leading and expanding California-based network of vision care providers, has announced the addition of Dr. Goldstone Optometry Vision Center in Long Beach and Fountain Valley, Calif. Established in 1972, the practices are operated by Dr. Alan Goldstone who has been practicing optometry in Southern California for many years. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Total Vision, which is backed by New York City-based Bregal Partners, operates approximately 45 office locations in California, according to its announcement on Thursday. Total Vision is the largest network of vision providers in California and employs more than 500 team members, including over 100 doctors.

Total Vision chief executive officer Neil Collier and chief medical officer Dr. Steve Klein welcomed Dr. Goldstone and the entire staff at Dr. Goldstone Optometry Vision Center to the Total Vision team. “We welcome the team and are excited for them to be part of our continued expansion in Southern California,” Collier said.

“We are pleased to be partnering with Total Vision to provide exceptional eyecare for our current and future patients,” Goldstone added.

Goldstone Optometry Vision Center has been a father and son optometry practice since 1972. For almost 50 years, families have been coming to the offices to receive exceptional eyecare and outstanding service, the Total Vision announcement noted. At age 12, Dr. Goldstone was introduced to optometry by his father, Dr. Harvey Goldstone, who founded the practices. It was this that inspired him to have a career in optometry.

Dr. Alan Goldstone received his undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from California State University, Fullerton, and his doctorate at Southern California College of Optometry. He has teaching affiliations with the University of California, Irvine, and was an outreach instructor for Pennsylvania Optometry School.
