Rupe Hansra, OD


 
OAKLAND, N.J.—Topcon Healthcare, Inc., a provider of medical devices and digital health care solutions, has announced the appointment of Rupe Hansra, OD, as the vice president of professional affairs. In this new position, the company stated that Dr. Hansra will be instrumental in advancing the role of Healthcare from the Eye, a connected care ecosystem using AI-powered disease detection and management applied to noninvasive retinal imaging, by fostering relationships with the eyecare community to continue the adoption of Topcon Healthcare’s robotic diagnostics and cloud-based solutions.

In May of 2024, Topcon announced a partnership with Microsoft Corporation to deliver AI-powered Healthcare from the Eye solutions to improve health care access, cost and quality.

According to the announcement, Dr. Hansra brings more than 20 years of industry experience and corporate expertise at the enterprise level. Recently, he was appointed to the board of trustees at the Illinois College of Optometry.
