BUSINESS DaTE Trade Show Announces Cocoricò Pyramid in Riccione, Italy, as September 2025 Location By Staff Wednesday, December 4, 2024 12:21 AM MILAN—Italian trade show DaTE has announced that the Cocoricò pyramid in Riccione, Italy, will host its September 13 through 15, 2025, event. The Cocoricò, an iconic nightclub and venue in Riccione, was established in 1989 and will host DaTE in a unique, avant-garde setting. DaTE show organizers said that the format of the show has been completely reimagined for this event, with a focus on reflecting the new challenges and developments facing the eyewear industry. DaTE president Davide Degl’Incerti Tocci and founding partners Cristina Frasca and Dante Caretti said, “The choice of this location seemed almost a foregone conclusion: we share the concept of artistic avant-garde. This iconic disco was the birthplace of the concept of a nightclub/theater, transforming a dancefloor into a platform for individual, creative, provocative, freedom of expression. Like DaTE, poised to introduce a superstar—eyewear—to that stage, where it can express its maximum potential.” Alongside this, show organizers debut Every Line Tells A Story, DaTE’s new communications campaign, curated by Frasca. According to DaTE, the campaign aims to celebrate the expressivity, creativity and innovation that characterize the show, repositioning it as a place where art, fashion and avant-garde meet within the world of eyewear. Finally, DaTE’s new tagline, Redefining Boundaries, positions the show as an “ongoing laboratory of innovation,” show organizers said, defying the limitations of traditional design. Admission to DaTE is free of charge, open only to eyewear industry professionals, opticians, buyers and journalists.
