Anne et Valentin

In 1981, “Anne et Valentin” opened a frame shop in Toulouse, France. To improve their assortment, they traveled overseas to discover new brands and ultimately created their own small collection of colored acetate styles. In 1994, the brand introduced its first two-color titanium model and began overseas distribution. Today, the company has 30 employees and is available in in 20 countries around the world. It takes more than 21 days and over 30 processes to make a pair of Anne et Valentin spectacles. Their spectacles are predominantly handmade using the highest quality materials including; cellulose acetate derived from cotton and titanium for metal styles.

MSRP is $335 to $620

“Anne et Valentin was the first collection that I saw that screamed Unique Optique.”

What are you selling?
Anne et Valentin is funky, artistic, colorful and fiercely independent. The new metal collection, specifically Bronte (shown above), is flying off the shelves.

Who’s buying it?
The customer it speaks to is quite variable. We’ve found that Anne et Valentin works just as well for a 60 year old lawyer as it does for a college age student. It is their ability to own it that makes an Anne et Valentin wearer.

Why do they like it?
I think the line makes the wearer feel just like their tag line—“Delighted to be Yourself.” It makes people feel happy to be who they are. We don’t even have any P.O.P. in the store. We just try to fit each person’s personality with the frame that compliments them.

Are you a retailer or an ECP who has a frame or collection you think others should “Check.Out”?
