NEW YORK—Safilo Group and Jack Spade, the American men’s accessories and apparel brand, have launched a collection of Jack Spade men’s optical frames. The collection serves as the brand’s second entry into the eyewear category following the recent retail sunglasses launch.

The Jack Spade ophthalmic collection follows an aesthetic in line with the brand’s clothing, small goods and accessories. Comprised of 13 men’s styles in metal, titanium, surgical steel or acetate, the line includes a range of round and rectangular silhouettes. Eight of these styles offer flex hinges, while two are designed to be International Fit, with longer nose pad arms allowing the frame to sit off the face.

The optical collection borrows iconic elements from the brand’s other collections, including a graph paper pattern laser engraved on spring hinges and temples of several styles, while other styles have temple tips with thin metal disks featuring airplane rivets. The brand’s signature orange color is used discreetly inside the metal cap detail at the hinges of many styles, as well as on the inside front of several frames.

Each frame will be accompanied by an orange hard clamshell case featuring the Jack Spade logo and a white and blue graph paper patterned cleaning cloth.
