Gravity was not only one of the highest grossing films of 2013, but it is Sandra Bullock's most successful film critically and commercially to date. For her role as Dr. Ryan Stone in the movie, Bullock was nominated a second time for the Academy Award for Best Actress, among a slew of other awards. She didn’t win the golden statuette this time but she was certainly one to watch on the award show red carpets. It tells the story of a rich Manhattan socialite divorcee who falls into poverty and homelessness.
