Kenmark Promotes Rademacher to Marketing Director

LOUISVILLE, Ky—Optical eyewear manufacturer and distributer Kenmark has appointed Katelyn Rademacher as their new marketing director.

“As Global Brand Manager, Katelyn has been a great asset to the marketing team,” said David Duralde, chief creative officer. “In her new position she will bring the perfect blend of business acumen, visionary thinking and pragmatic action that we see as a great formula for her success in partnering with our product, sales and service teams.”

The Michigan State University graduate worked in the marketing and public relations industry before joining Kenmark as global brand manager in 2013. She recently played a significant role in the launch of Zac Posen Eyewear.

Hoya Vision Adds Haddad to Key Account Team

LEWISVILLE, Texas—Hoya Vision has announced the appointment of Ahab Haddad to its Key Account team covering the Western U.S.

“Ahab will work on the development of incremental business by strategically targeting large multi-location independent eyecare practices and to work collectively with the western based sales teams to improve customer access and expand the position of Hoya’s branded portfolio,” said Scott Ferrell, Hoya Vision’s senior director of strategic accounts.

Haddad has been a part of the Hoya family for 13 years, first as a territory sales manager in Kansas City and later a regional sales manager for the South Central U.S.

Prior to Hoya, Haddad managed an ophthalmology and optometry clinic and is a veteran of the United States Navy.

DALLAS—Alan Yuster has been appointed senior vice president of EGMA LLC, a new Dallas laboratory that provides full service distribution of complete eyewear, lenses, frames and instruments.

“As a recognized leading industry executive with 40 years of vision, lens and executive management experience, Alan is a welcome foundation to build our USA facility and team,” said Poya Eghterafi, president and CEO of EGMA LLC.

EGMA LLC was created by Eghterafi last year, becoming an international laboratory that has established a USA-based manufacturing headquarters.

Rudy Project Appoints Athlete Cyr as Sports Marketing Coordinator

DENVER—Rudy Project, an Italian manufacturer of performance eyewear, helmets and sports equipment, has named award-winning cyclist Amanda Cyr as the company’s latest sports marketing coordinator for North America. An athlete herself, Cyr will be speaking with athletes on all levels on a daily basis.

Cyr first moved near the Rocky Mountains in Colorado in 2008, and soon experienced a decline in health. After visiting a doctor for what she assumed was prolonged altitude sickness, she found out that her liver was suffering and it was killing her. Cyr radically changed her eating and drinking habits, and maintained an active lifestyle; training to run marathons and joining a local women’s cycling team. The transformation has left her happier and healthier.

Nanofilm Appoints Tecco Optical Sales Director and Talbott Business Director

VALLEY VIEW, Ohio—Nanofilm has named Don Tecco as director of optical sales, North America, and Rex Talbott as business director of optical products.

Tecco will lead sales efforts for Nanofilm’s lens care and Defog It anti-fog treatment to the optical market. This includes key accounts, chains, independent practices and retail markets. As director, Tecco will also be responsible for territory development, and sales force recruitment and training. His most recent position was as EVP for JG Sterling Group, a national sales organization.

As business director of optical products, Talbott will be responsible for Nanofilm’s global branding, market expansion and new product development strategies. He comes to Nanofilm with 20 years of consumer product experience, including consumer health care, cosmetic and children’s products. He worked for Purell hand sanitizer most recently, holding global marketing responsibility, and providing brand stewardship.
