Professor Brien Holden, OAM.

SYDNEY, Australia—Services have been set for Brien Holden, OAM, a global leader in eyecare and vision research, who passed away here on July 27 of a heart attack, at 73, as reported by VMail. The funeral will take place here today at Our Lady of the Rosary-Kensington at 10:30 a.m.

Internationally renowned and awarded scientist and humanitarian, Holden OAM, CEO of Brien Holden Vision Institute, was a Professor at the School of Optometry and Vision Science at UNSW Australia. Holden was known as one of the most influential optometrists in the world, and his career was involved in inspiring scientists and health care professionals around the world with his dream of “vision for everyone, everywhere.”
