Optical Industry Veteran Timothy Steffey Dies at 45

LAS VEGAS—Timothy Kelley Steffey passed away in Las Vegas on Oct. 18 after a brief illness. He was 45-years-old.

Steffey grew up around the optical industry and was guided by his father, Ron Steffey of Sunstar Optical. Over the course of his career he worked with various optical companies including Signet Armorlite, Sunstar Optical and Solidar.

In addition to his father, Steffey is survived by his mother, Bonnie Steffey, stepmother Cherrie Steffey and sister Jennifer Steffey. A private Celebration of Life will be held in his honor in Las Vegas on Nov. 3.

Donations can be made in Tim Steffey’s name to Opportunity Village,  a Las Vegas charity he supported.
