Latest News IDOC Adds New Members to Leadership Team By Staff Tuesday, February 5, 2019 12:24 AM ORLANDO, Fla.—IDOC, a privately-held alliance of independent optometrists, has announced the addition of four new members of its executive and management teams, chosen for their deep industry experience and commitment to IDOC's vision for the future, the company said. "I'm confident that these outstanding individuals will help IDOC excel in providing innovative support and forward-thinking initiatives to our customers," said IDOC CEO Dave Brown. I'm delighted that we are adding these impressive new talents to IDOC."Jill Johnson joined IDOC last month as vice president, human resources. In her executive role, she leads people-focused initiatives that include learning and development, organization planning, rewards and recognition, talent acquisition, employee communications and promoting a "people-first" culture at IDOC. Before joining IDOC, Johnson held various HR leadership roles in multiple industries, both domestic and organization and personnel development. Jan Cory has taken on the role of senior director, strategic partnerships at IDOC, focusing on a wide range of vendor/partner relationships. Cory's career began in the luxury retail sector, and she joined the vision industry at B+L, then Luxottica, where she created and led the department store team. She has also held senior leadership positions at Viva/Marcolin and, most recently, at Silhouette. In 2015, she was named by Vision Monday as one of the Most Influential Women in Optical.Bridgett O'Brien was named director of marketing at IDOC in December 2018. She will be leading all IDOC marketing efforts, including brand, events, vendor and new product/services launches. A graduate of Fordham University, O'Brien spent over 10 years at CBS Corporation spearheading sales marketing efforts worldwide. Most recently, she managed customer marketing for Bausch + Lomb's vision care team.Scott Robinson joined the IDOC team in December of last year as director of strategic partnerships, overseeing vendor relationships and contract governance. A graduate of the University of Hartford, he has spent much of his 20-year career in the optical market, with a strong focus in the contact lens segment of supply chain and distribution, key and strategic account management and vendor relation. His most recent positions include 11 years with ABB Optical Group as VP new business development and director of strategic accounts, followed by two years as director of strategic business for the Walman companies.IDOC just marked its 20th anniversary at The Connection, held here, its national conference for members. Across the U.S., IDOC works collaboratively with 3,000-plus independent ODS to help them stay ahead of industry change and achieve their business vision. Over 500 independent optometrists, IDOC staff members and vendor partners attended the three-day Connection event at the Coronado Springs Resort here last week.The group's 20-year celebration will continue this fall when IDOC hosts a second national conference in Washington D.C. Oct. 9 to 12.
