PINELLAS PARK, Fla.—Three finalists have been named for the 2013 Transitions HR Visionary of the Year, an award co-sponsored by Transitions Optical and the Institute for HealthCare Consumerism (IHC) to recognize and reward employers who are promoting healthy vision to their workforce through superior vision benefit offerings and employee education. The finalists for this year’s award are: Vincent Colonna of Broward Health, Susan Eutizzi of Roundy's Supermarkets, Inc. and Sean O’Keefe from the Trumbull Board of Education.

The winner will be announced at a special awards ceremony during the annual Transitions Academy event, held in Orlando in January, which will draw an audience of approximately 1,000 optical industry professionals and 140 managed vision care industry professionals. Vision plan providers, benefits brokers and HR professionals in attendance will participate in the seventh annual managed vision care education track, focused on “Keeping an Eye on Vision Amidst Change.”

“Health care reform has created a lot of uncertainty this year among employees and employers alike,” said Smith Wyckoff, key account manager, managed vision care and online retail, Transitions Optical. “The finalists for the 2013 HR Visionary of the Year award demonstrated how employers large and small, in very different industries, can make selecting a quality vision plan—and sharing the importance of participation with employees—part of their overall commitment to a healthy, productive workforce regardless of changes that are occurring in health care.”
