LOUISVILLE, Ky. —To mark the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, and to build upon the first range of products, The Kenmark Group ( www.kenmarkoptical.com) is expanding its Jhane Barnes Redux collection with new ophthalmic styles. Redux merges innovative designs with environmentally conscious practices.

Jhane Barne’s Redux 4 and Redux 5 styles use recycled acetate material laminated into temples. Available in black, brown and gunmetal, they feature a three-year warranty.

The Redux collection combines Jhane Barnes’s design aesthetic and her commitment to offering environmentally responsible products. The collection includes two new contemporary designs, Redux 4 and Redux 5 that are both eco-friendly with the reuse of production products to reduce waste. These frames feature metal fronts with 100 percent scrap acetate laminated into a 30 percent recycled acetate temple.

Jhane Barnes said, “The collection is perfect for customers who want to reduce their impact on the earth without sacrificing.”

Beyond the Redux segment, all Jhane Barnes frames feature corn demo lenses that break down into water and carbon matter, and eco-friendly byproducts that reduce waste. Each frame comes with a case made from 100 percent recycled material and organic cotton that is fully collapsible, for convenient storage and easy pop-up assembly.

The Redux frames are part of a larger initiative, a new line of environmentally responsible products by designer Jhane Barnes ( www.jhanebarnes.com).
