Top Line: ClearVision Optical, in partnership with Optometry Cares – The AOA Foundation and Orbis International, will launch its Dilli Dalli branded mobile game, Red’s Journey, during Vision Expo West 2017.
Close Up: An extension of ClearVision’s Dilli Dalli brand, Red’s Journey stars the pediatric eyewear collection’s brand mascot, Red. The game features three difficulty levels, to appeal to eyecare patients of all ages.
Beginning Thursday, September 14, Red’s Journey will be available on the App Store and Google Play as a $0.99 download. Proceeds from each download will be donated to Optometry Cares–The AOA Foundation and Orbis International to further their missions of providing vision care in the U.S. and across the world.
“We’ve done much more than just create a video game for eyecare professionals to have in their waiting rooms,” said David Friedfeld, president of ClearVision Optical. “We’ve developed a really unique way for people to engage in vision-related philanthropy; it’s as simple as buying an app.”
Vital Stats: Red’s Journey will be prominently featured in ClearVision’s Vision Expo West booth (#16087) in a classic arcade cabinet. Vision Expo attendees can play Thursday, September 14 through Saturday, September 16 during show hours. Prizes will be awarded daily to the winners of each difficulty level.

Ultra Optics Introduces Two New Chemistries

Product: ClearView and ConsisTint
Top Line: Ultra Optics is launching two new products, ClearView Cleaning Solution and ConsisTint Dye Additive.
Close Up: ClearView was specifically formulated to provide the best lens preparation prior to backside coating. Ultra Optics customers have experienced lower breakage rates after switching from IPA to ClearView. In addition, ClearView is non-hazardous and much less expensive to ship. It has also shown to work incredibly well as a streak free cleaner at final inspection on lenses and frames alike. Anywhere IPA is used in the lab, ClearView Cleaning Solution can be substituted.
ConsisTint Dye Additive was developed to eliminate white spots and blotchiness caused during the lens tinting process. It has proven to reduce a technician’s time at the dye tank, and produces uniform, stable, and balanced results. ConsisTint is the cure for all of the lab’s tinting problems, according to Ultra Optics.
Vital Stats: ClearView Cleaning Solution is available in 1 gallon (3.8 liter) containers; ConsisTint Dye Additive is available in 32 oz. (1 liter) containers.
