Wearer: Men and women looking for eyewear designs that draw inspiration from the fashion-forward choices of 1980s hip hop pioneers, the oversized
eyewear worn by graffiti characters of the same decade and rare vintage eyewear shapes.
Specifics: The collection includes optical and sunglass styles for both men and women. Along with using experimental combinations of both metal and acetate, the eyewear collection also has a focus on comfort, including diagonal hinges and comfort acetate top bars. Each collection will provide matte and polished textures in gold, black, white, silver, gunmetal and tortoiseshell.
Selling Points: The men's sunwear collection includes round, thin metal frames with design highlights such as pilot-inspired spoilers and double brow bar. The men's styles also include angular metal and straight topped acetate frames in square shapes. Morel Unveils Lightec’s Alpha 30 Concept
Morel has released Lightec’s Alpha 30 concept where slim polyurethane rubber temples meet with stainless steel fronts. This new men’s concept is offered in three models, each equipped with Morel’s exclusive patented Alpha flex-hinge system. The temples were developed with a stainless steel core which is then injection molded with polyurethane rubber. The injected rubber material allows for flexible temples and a comfortable wear. This stainless steel concept offers fine, light lines and con¬temporary shapes, the company said.
