Ogi Eyewear Debuts New Styles for the Seraphin Original Faux Wood Series

More Images
Quick Take: Seraphin adds four new models that comprise an original series of timber-inspired optical frames.
Specifics: Four new styles that capture the aesthetic of wood grain without sacrificing the adjustability of acetate. The styles are named after the majestic state parks and old-growth forests of Minnesota. These faux wood frames celebrate the natural beauty of Ogi Eyewear’s home state, proudly known as L'Étoile du Nord (The Star of North).
Selling Points: The Banning optical frame is inspired by the woodlands of Minnesota’s Arrowhead region. The soft square silhouette makes it an ideal fit for men with a variety of face shapes. Its versatile coloration displays rich tones such as Evergreen and Atlantic Blue. The Itasca style has been handcrafted into a butterfly shape and debuts in an original faux wood acetate pattern.
The design of the Superior frames takes inspiration from Lake Superior. This P3 pair brings together a classically round silhouette and keyhole bridge combination with the rustic look of Seraphin’s custom-made wood-effect frame front. The beauty of nature is encompassed in the Temperance. This model represents the exacting replica of carefully finished wood grain with its cat eye silhouette exuding the glamour of 1950s fashion.

Ray-Bay Reintroduces The General

Ray-Ban is reintroducing The General, an aviator that represents bravery, while remaining iconic and fresh at the same time, the company said. First created in 1987 as a tribute to Lieutenant Douglas MacArthur, The General is reinvented for the 21st century in a range of colors and gloss finishes for a look that embodies retro confidence. Colors include cool metallic, classic black, military green or the sun-soaked desert cool of a copper lash gradient: there’s a choice of four colors for the optical frames and eight lens colors and gradients for the sunglasses. The General’s stylish, military inspired rims and double bridge are reminiscent of the original Aviator while also making a statement on its own.
