Quick Take: Safilo has expanded their Polaroid sun collection with the launch of the Suncovers and Kids collections.
Wearer: Polaroid Suncovers are designed to fit over prescription frames; while the Polaroid Kids collection is for active kids.
Specifics: Polaroid Suncovers are available in six styles, three for men and three for women. Each pair features Polaroid’s premium polarized UltraSight lenses which offer 100 percent UV400 protection, glare free vision and day long comfort. For the Kids collection, Polaroid is offering six sunglass styles, one for girls, one for boys and four unisex styles. The line of acetate sunglasses offers 100 percent UV400 protection against UVA, UVB and UVC rays and Polaroid polarized gray lenses that block out virtually 100 percent of glare.
Selling Points: Each Suncover comes with a zippered case and cleaning cloth. Available P.O.P. for the collection includes an eight-piece display, counter cards, brochure, digital brochure and poster. The Kids collection is equipped with lenses that are durable with a strong, scratch resistant coating and shock absorption to withstand impact and protect the eye. The styles use allergy free materials and feature adjustable temple tips to fit a child’s face and lifestyle. Each Kids frame is packaged in a soft pouch with a cleaning cloth and the collection is supported by a 12-piece display, counter cards, brochure, digital brochure and poster.

Each lens is comprised of two wave-shaped plates that can glide across one another altering the power of each lens. The instantly adjustable sunwear, featuring stylish dark lenses with UVA/UVB protection, can correct over 90 percent of spherical errors (lens power -6 to +3.5 diopters), according to Adlens.

Marchon has introduced two new “compact concept” G-Star folding sunglass frames. The GS108S, the Compact Faeroes, is a foldable style in a square aviator shape. Costa Offers New 2014 Limited Edition Styles

Costa has released five new limited edition frame options to select sunglasses for 2014. These vibrant, colorful styles are available in limited quantities.
