Optometry Schools Welcome a New Class of ODs |

NEW YORK—With summer on the horizon, it is officially graduation season across the country, from pre-k “Stepping Up” ceremonies to conferring doctorates. And, of course, hundreds of students in the U.S. are also graduating from optometry school this May, making the transition from student to doctor and entering the workforce. This weekend, we’re taking a look at how a few optometry schools are celebrating their 2024 graduates—and welcoming a new group of ODs into the world.

Vision Monday will once again be highlighting The Most Influential Women in Optical in our July-August issue, marking the 22nd year of our signature Special Report saluting women in the eyewear/eyecare industry. Getting Inspired for Small Business Month
NEW YORK—May is Small Business Month, an important marker for many independent ECPs who juggle life as both doctors and small business owners. While celebrating yourself and supporting other small business owners this May, it’s also a great moment to reflect on your business, where you’ve been, how far you’ve come and what your next steps might look like.
