NEW ORLEANS—Independent eyewear brand, Krewe, has opened a new optical-focused store. Located at 1818 Magazine Street, customers will be greeted with sparkling rosé or kombucha while they wait for their eye exam with Krewe’s in-store optometrist. Customers are able to schedule appointments in advance or same-day via text message.

Through the brand’s Rx program, Krewe can fill all prescriptions and cut lenses on site, allowing customers to leave with an updated prescription and new frames. Along with this elevated customer experience, Krewe’s store design adds a layer to the in-store process.

The location features bright natural light, clean lines, and handcrafted details by Goodwood New Orleans. The store’s interior speaks to Krewe’s brand identity and southern charm.

“The beautiful, green terrazzo bar running down the middle of the space, which serves as a place to sit and browse magazines as customers wait for their appointment, or gather with friends—rosé in hand—while perusing optical and sun selections, speaks to the brand’s southern hospitality as well,” the company said.
