NEW YORK—Just prior to the start of Vision Expo East, The Optical Women’s Association (OWA) honored three of its own at a Champagne Breakfast held here at the Edison Ballroom. The 2019 honorees reflect the OWA’s core values of enhancing the leadership and professional development of women in optical industry, the organization said. The OWA’s Pleiades Award honoree was Holly Rush, CEO of Costa. The OWA’s Pyxis Award was presented to Laura Lewis, vice president of human resources for MyEyeDr. and the OWA’s Emerging Leader honor went to Jessica Goebert, public relations and marketing manager of De Rigo REM. The breakfast was sponsored by Luxottica and the OWA.

The OWA is turning 22 on March 22, 2019. To honor this special anniversary, and over two decades of supporting and promoting the professional development of women in the optical industry, the OWA threw a “star birthday” party on Friday evening at the Javits Center called “The OWA Star Birthday celebration—Cheers to 22 Years!”
