Quick Take: Converse Eyewear, from Marchon, is debuting new teen optical collections for the back to school season. Converse will also be launching its first-ever teen sun collection for the season.
Specifics: The new optical collection is made up of two different product families. The Emergent Collection features classic rectangle and teacup silhouettes with color blocked temples, the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star logo and a rubberized sneaker tread pattern. The Chuck Collection includes round, modified round and rectangle shapes with key Converse design features like the wordmark logo and exposed core wire to mimic the strip on Converse shoes. 
Selling Point: Thomas Burkhardt, senior vice president of global brands, marketing & design at Marchon Eyewear, Inc., said, “We saw an opportunity to create a product offering for teens who are looking for frames that are both timeless and contemporary. Converse sneakers have long been a staple in teens’ wardrobes, which inspired us to create a collection that teens will love, and parents would want to buy.”
