Quick Take: Today, Altair Eyewear, a division of Marchon Eyewear, announces McAllister, a new proprietary brand for its portfolio. The McAllister brand offers modern, original style through authentic, distinctive eyewear.
Specifics: The McAllister collection features a mix of high-quality handmade acetate and metal materials, constructed in effortlessly trendy styles that embrace individual expression with bold colors and confident contours. The brand is inspired by and named after one of the founders of American optometry John McAllister. McAllister’s passion for optometry, mastery of fit and focus on individualized detailing made his shop in Philadelphia a destination and his discipline a legacy. This new collection is built on that legacy, and designed for the modern world. The line of gender inclusive styles is targeted to ages 18 – 35, but sure to appeal to a wide range of consumers.
The initial McAllister collection will be available beginning in June and made up of 10 optical styles, all designed to be gender inclusive. Design details include horn gradients, jewel-toned crystal acetates, dual-colored metals and modern silhouettes.
Selling Point: Thomas Burkhardt, senior vice president of global brands, marketing and design and Marchon Eyewear, said, “We are thrilled to introduce McAllister to the Altair portfolio of proprietary brands. McAllister is a brand with a rich history, and by adding it to the Altair division we’re giving consumers an elevated eyewear experience, offering authentic, unique frames at an accessible price point.”
