LONGARONE, Italy—The De Rigo family late last month brought together 1,000 employees and local authorities to celebrate the group’s 40th anniversary in an Alpine setting near Belluno here. “Forty years of De Rigo has been my life. Ours is a family-run company, tied to the land and its people,” said Ennio De Rigo, founder and president, as he welcomed guests to the special evening event. Earlier this year, De Rigo was awarded the honorary title of Cavaliere del Lavoro, as VMAIL reported, a special citation made to an exclusive group of Italian entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the national economy.

The company held the event on its own premises, “to demonstrate its dedication to its roots and origin of work,” with the space outside the factory was transformed for the cocktail party, dinner, a cabaret performance and dancing.
