ALEXANDRIA, Va.—Registration has opened for The Vision Council’s 2020 Executive Summit, to take place Jan. 29 to 31 at the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa in Manalapan, Florida. This year’s Summit has been redesigned to supply attendees with an extensive look into big picture concepts of the changing business landscape and insight into The Vision Council’s five-year strategic plan. The Summit will feature programming dedicated to economic trends, business strategies, refining leadership skills, building the right teams, executive-level networking and tangible approaches to tackling the dynamic changes in the optical industry from a balanced global perspective.

To address some of the most pressing issues in the industry, the Summit will feature a diverse group of thought leaders including former U.S. Trade Representatives Ambassador Ron Kirk and Susan Schwab, for expert insights into global trade, economics and policy. Attendees will also be afforded a complete look into how apparel manufacturers are undertaking recent changes with a panel discussion featuring Richie Woodward, president of the Wolverine Boston Group—comprised of Keds, Saucony and Sperry brands—and Marc Lefebvre, CEO of frame designer and manufacturer Killine Group.

Additionally, Frances Frei, professor of technology and operations management at Harvard Business School and author, and Scott Miller, CEO of G100 Companies, will speak to leadership, strategy and the future of business. To conclude the Summit, Brian Beaulieu, economist and CEO of ITR Economics, will share how attendees can prepare their business and personal finances for the future.

Similar to previous years, the Executive Summit will allow The Vision Council to hold its annual business meeting and its Insights: An All Member Session as well as ample opportunity for cultivating relationships with crucial industry peers via dedicated networking time, guided discussions and optional activities on location.
