All three workshops will be held at the PEN Education Center, 1750 N. Loop Road, Alameda, Calif. The frame workshops will run in consecutive half-day sessions.

“We are committed to helping ECPs enhance their practices through the variety of informative and hands-on workshops we offer,” Melanie Miller, manager of strategic projects and initiatives for ABB Optical Group, said in the announcement. “By bringing together industry experts like Mary Schmidt and Mindi Lewis, we are confident that ECPs and their staff will have the tools they need to put their best foot forward in growing and managing their business.”

The three-day workshop is $490 for PEN members and $645 for non-members.

During the frame adjusting workshop, Lewis will offer participants a hands-on look at the fundamentals of frame adjusting, covering front-to-back, custom adjustment techniques on both plastic and metal frames as well as trouble shooting and problem adjustments. During the frame selection workshop, participants will learn about frame style and tips on how to find the best eyewear for their patients’ vision needs.
