ATLANTA—My Eyelab, a leading eye health provider and optical retailer, opened its 10th retail store in Atlanta recently, expanding its presence to 11 locations overall in Georgia and adding about 100 total jobs to the local market, according to an announcement. My Eyelab is a retail brand of Now Optics (formerly known as Vision Precision Holdings), as is Stanton Optical. My Eyelab initially announced its plan to expand in the Atlanta area via franchising agreements in August 2017, as VMAIL reported.

The new location—at 440 Ernest W. Barrett Parkway NW (Kennesaw, Ga.)—will offer a customer appreciation special event with free eye exams from Oct. 28 through Nov. 9 with no purchase necessary, according to the announcement.

Zain Attawala, a co-owner of the new My Eyelab franchise location, said he “is dedicated to Atlanta and recognizes the economic impact this store provides to the area by creating additional jobs and access to eyecare products and services.”

He added, “As multi-unit franchise co-owners in the Cobb area, Sagar and I are committed to providing affordable and accessible eyecare and eyewear throughout metro Atlanta while expanding the company’s brand.” (Sagar Panjwani is a co-owner with Attawala of multiple franchise locations in the Atlanta area, according to a spokeswoman for My Eyelab.)

The new location features an experience focused on convenience and ease with a design that highlights the latest technology, according to the announcement. Customers can choose from an assortment of more than 2,000 frames in a retail setting with about 3,100 square feet of space.

Now Optics, via its retail brands My Eyelab and Stanton Optical, is among the fastest-growing optical centers in the U.S., with more than 170 corporate and franchise locations in 25 states.
