PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.—Isaac “Ike” Bender, 90, passed away at his home here on June 9, following a monthlong illness. A colleague, John Barry, described Bender as “a salesman extraordinaire” and “a man of integrity who made friends easily because people immediately felt a sense of trust and goodwill with him. His invaluable ideas and eye for product propelled the new company to a rocket start. This man was a force that, if bottled would, have lit up Times Square.”

Among the brands Bender represented were Rodenstock, Younger Optics, Specialty Lens and Fabulous Fanny's.

Bender is survived by his wife, Natalie, son Craig, daughter-in-law Helene Coustan and four grandchildren. A son, Brad Coustan, predeceased him.
