HONG KONG—Icare Group said last week that it achieved the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) Plus. This demonstrates Icare Group’s continuous effort to preserve the environment and to reach outstanding levels of corporate social responsibility (CSR), the announcement noted. Icare said it also supports its customers to transition toward sustainable products that meet ISCC’s strict standards. Recycling wastage along a closed-loop production, using recycled, renewable and recycled-renewable materials while providing traceability along the supply chain becomes not only a strategic development but a verified standard in Icare, the announcement noted.

Icare Group is also a certified carbon neutral company and is engaged to further reduce carbon footprint by over 25 percent by 2030.

Icare Group’s CSR ambition started in 2017 as one of the first few eyewear companies to achieve BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), a Gold certificate from WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production), SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit), cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) certified and ecovadis silver rating.

These recognitions demonstrate iCare’s long-term social and environmental commitment to protecting and improving the environment of the people who contribute daily to its success, clients, workers, employees, and managers. Furthermore, the company said it emphasizes the importance of making the right key strategic choices to protect the environment without compromising its mission and vision to produce high-quality eyewear for its clients.

Icare Group is a group of companies established in 1998, designing, engineering, and producing premium optical frames and sunglasses, cases for the eyewear industry, and all packaging and display materials in China and Cambodia.
