MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif.—The theme at De Rigo REM’s 2020 National Sales meeting, which took place at the West Drift Marriott from Jan 9–11, was “One Company, One Team, One Message,” emphasized by De Rigo REM North America’s president and CEO Alessandro Baronti. Over the course of the three-day event, the De Rigo REM team and guests were walked through the company’s upcoming product releases, merchandising and sales strategy exercises and a teambuilding workshop led by leadership coach Robb Braun.

Key initiatives from the meeting included the roll-out of De Rigo REM’s new mission statement and core values, created to underline the importance of De Rigo REM’s evolving corporate landscape, goals and purpose in the eyecare industry. In addition, the meeting included information about the expansion of De Rigo REM’s co-op program to include more omni-channel solutions, rolled out this spring. These include a partnership with Bill Gerber and the team at OMG! / Contentlinq to offer customers a deeper selection of turnkey, digital enabled visual merchandising tools to elevate in-store brand storytelling and prominence, as well as a partnership with Jobson to offer a one-year subscription package to My Frame Gallery.

  



The Presidents Club, awarded to 18 sales reps, was recognized at the meeting. The De Rigo REM team gathered in Manhattan Beach, California, for the 2020 National Sales Meeting.
De Rigo REM will also be expanding on their Education and Practice Management Training Platform, which launched last year. This year, the company will expand on their partnership with Jobson to build and launch more interactive online trainings, and conduct more ABO- and COPE-certified classroom trainings.

The National Sales meeting also highlighted De Rigo REM’s launch of FILA in the North American market in March 2020. Established in 1911, Fila is one of the leading sportswear brands of all time, and will be De Rigo REM’s main brand focus in 2020. Additionally, Police Eyewear, De Rigo REM’s House Brand, will launch a second collection with Lewis Hamilton in fall 2020, following up on the success of last year’s launch. This new collection will expand into performance eyewear in addition to sun and optical.

Finally, the meeting included De Rigo REM’s annual Gala Award night celebration, where the company’s top performers in both the sales force and internally were recognized. The honorees included the Presidents Club, which was awarded to 18 sales reps. In addition, Rep of the Year was presented to Staci Krause, Rookie of the Year was presented to Jordan Cartagena, District Coordinator of the Year was presented to Stacey Soltis, Sales Transformation Award was presented to Fred Dely, and the Internal Transformation Award was presented to Susy Adzhimanukyan.
