De Rigo and Fila Announce Renewal of Licensing Agreement

By
LONGARONE, Italy—De Rigo and Fila have announced the renewal of their licensing agreement for the design, production and distribution of Fila-branded prescription frames in the EMEA, the Americas, Australia and New Zealand. The new multi-year agreement between the two companies “confirms the solidity of the partnership that began in 1996 and continues today with mutual satisfaction,” De Rigo said in an announcement. In 2020, Fila Eyewear recorded a 9 percent growth in global sales, driven in particular by sales results in Europe and the Americas. Over the years, Fila has grown from a tennis and sportswear brand into an icon of pop culture and athleisure fashion, establishing a lifestyle concept and a distinctive yet constantly evolving style.

Michele Aracri, CEO of De Rigo Vision, said, “We are particularly proud of this renewal that further confirms the long-standing and solid relationship between our companies, which began 25 years ago with the launch of the first ever Fila Eyewear collection. Over the years that we have been working together, we have come a long way and we will continue to bring the iconic style of the brand to the world of eyewear.”

The FILA Eyewear collections are distributed through the De Rigo Vision sales network, which includes opticians and department stores.
