SAN DIEGO—CovalentEvents, a premiere eyecare virtual event platform and subsidiary of CovalentCareers, Inc. is announcing Eyes On 2021, a free, three-day, virtual experience for optometrists, practice owners, and students. Scheduled for November 20-22, 2020, Eyes On 2021 will equip ODs with free continuing education, live talks with optometry’s leading experts, sneak peeks at 2021 trends from executive leaders, virtual vendor booths, keynote speakers, and a hefty dose of fun and inspiration, according to an announcement from the company.

Themed as a forward-looking show to help optometrists and eyecare professionals anticipate and plan for the coming year, Eyes On 2021 is the inaugural event for what will become an annual virtual experience for the eyecare community. As a leader in the virtual health care event space, CovalentEvents plans to host an annual “Eyes On” virtual event each year in mid-November. The annual show will feature a best-in-class, COPE-approved educational program with clinical insights and cutting-edge education for today’s optometrist, the organizers added.

This year at Eyes On 2021, attendees can view live, interactive educational sessions and panels in three clinical and career tracks and will have the opportunity to gain up to 11 free continuing education credits. The event will also feature a variety of sponsors and vendors including the top medical device, pharmaceutical, contact lens, and service companies—each showcasing their latest offerings and bringing a team of product experts who can chat live with attendees. Students and optometrists who attended April’s Virtual Career Fair will also be able to be part of the Eyes on 2021 event, which will also include a Career Center featuring companies hiring ODs across the U.S.

Attendees will be able to win incredible prizes (including giveaways hidden throughout the show), belly up to a virtual cocktail bar and food court, and attend inspirational Virtual Symposiums and keynotes with industry leaders. “This has been a tough, but transformative, year for the optometry community,” said CovalentEvents’ CEO and co-founder, Dr. Matthew Geller, OD. “Going into work doesn’t look like it did six months ago. This new virtual world we’re living in is opening doors to things that might not have been possible at this time last year. From free CE to the latest tools and inspiring keynotes, we wanted to equip ODs with the education, resources, and inspiration they crave during this time. We look forward to hosting Eyes On for many years to come.”
