HAUPPAUGE, NY—ClearVision Optical announced that the company has been named to Newsday’s list of Best Companies to Work for in 2019. The company was honored along with 40 other local businesses in the Small Employers category, which is defined as companies having 50 to 149 Long Island workers. In total, the list included 80 other businesses on Long Island. This year, ClearVision was also named to the Best Companies to Work for in New York State list for the fourth consecutive year.

To create this list, Newsday worked with Energage to anonymously poll more than 16,000 employees at 117 Long Island employers to identify the top workplaces on Long Island. ClearVision Optical president David Friedfeld said, “We look forward to participating in the employee survey each year and helping ClearVision achieve this recognition in our local area. The leadership team at ClearVision has a commitment to fostering and encouraging open communication, and every employee is given the opportunity to contribute and share their voice. Our team is proud to work for a company that encourages employees to raise their hand and recognizes each unique opinion and perspective.”

Jennifer Trakhtenberg, senior talent leader at ClearVision said, “The entire ClearVision family is proud to earn this esteemed distinction as one of Long Island’s best places to work, particularly on the heels of our 70th anniversary year. Staying true to our roots as a values-based organization has been at the heart of our culture since our inception in 1949, and has allowed ClearVision to develop dynamic talent, focus on innovation, remain committed to our community and deliver renowned service.”

ClearVision and the other nominees were honored at a gala awards night on October 23 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York. The entire list of winners is available on Newsday’s website.
