MORRIS PLAINS, N.J.—Charmant Group has announced the promotion of Masato Nakagaichi to the role of executive vice president, effective immediately. In this new role, Nakagaichi will be responsible for the daily operating performance of the U.S. subsidiary. This includes finance, strategic sales planning and analysis. Before taking on this role, Nakagaichi spent three years as director of corporate planning. He has worked at Charmant for 23 years, taking on roles including sales manager for export sales and sales support manager responsible for wholesale business covering Germany, France and the U.K.

Nakagaichi said, “I am excited about my new assignment here in the U.S., and I look forward to working with the management team we have in place to further strengthen Charmant’s position in the U.S. We have a great veteran sales team and I want to provide them with everything they need for further growth.”

Earlier in February, VM reported that Charmant appointed Masakiyo Honjo to take on the role of president and CEO after the company’s current president and CEO Masao Miyachi departs at the end of March.
