Professional golfer Davis Riley
NASHVILLE, Tenn.—BrightBenefits, a recently formed ancillary benefits insurance company specializing in vision and dental, has announced a marketing partnership with professional golfer Davis Riley, winner of the Korn Ferry Tour. Riley won this year’s Panama Championship at Country Club de Bogota for his first Tour victory and currently stands at No. 2 on the Tour’s money list. The Korn Ferry Tour is the developmental tour for the U.S.-based PGA Tour, and features professional golfers who have either not yet reached the PGA Tour, or who have done so but then failed to win enough FedEx Cup points to stay at that level.

BrightBenefits, a national dental and vision insurance business established in 2019, is a strategic partnership between National Guardian Life Insurance Company (NGL) and Insurance Capital Group (ICG), as VMAIL reported. NGL and ICG, through its Federal Life Group, Inc. affiliate, jointly developed and launched BrightBenefits. Policies will initially be issued by NGL, with a plan to move to issuance by Commercial Travelers Insurance Company, by 2021.

Riley will represent the BrightBenefits brand to the golf community in a variety of ways, including social media, branded apparel and in-person as tournament scheduling picks back up in the wake of the global pandemic.

“BrightBenefits is a company on the rise, and I look forward to meeting their clients, brokers and associates in the coming months,” Riley said. “As our careers grow in parallel, we will draw inspiration from each other because we share many of the same principles—relentless focus on improving our long-game strategy, the love of playing the game, and a strong desire to win.”

Riley also posted a video about the sponsorship on his Instagram page here.

“Davis Riley is a tremendously skilled player who has clearly established himself as someone to watch, much like BrightBenefits, actually,” said Danny Bentley, president of BrightBenefits. “We are proud to sponsor a rising star like Davis, as he continues to make a name for himself in the world of professional golf.”

Prior to turning professional, Riley was a two-time All-American for The University of Alabama.
