CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.—ABB Optical Group, a leading provider of optical products and business solutions for eyecare professionals, said its practice performance and dashboard analytics software has been updated with new features and has been rebranded as ABB Analyze, powered by Glimpse. ABB Optical acquired Glimpse in mid-2018, and the analytics software was previously known as Glimpse Live. ABB Analyze offers a tailored business performance dashboard fully customized for a practice’s unique analytical needs, according to ABB Optical’s announcement this week.

The first “push” informatics service in the eyecare industry, ABB Analyze is designed to help practice owners efficiently measure and track performance, identify growth opportunities, forecast future trends, and anonymously compare results among more than 1,000 eyecare businesses regionally and nationally with easy and intuitive reports.

“We all know you can’t improve what you don’t measure,” ABB Analyze managing director Casey Hedberg said. “Our data continues to show this, as the practices who are viewing their dashboards the most are benefiting the most. ABB Analyze makes data easy to view and easy to create a plan moving forward.”

The software securely integrates with electronic health records and practice management systems to provide in-depth analytics, live benchmarking, staff metric engagement tools, doctor and staff performance measures, goal setting and tracking, multi-location comparisons, missed revenue identifiers, and daily metrics in an easy-to-understand snapshot format, among other features. A mobile app allows data and reports to be accessed easily and securely from anywhere on any mobile platform.

ECPs also have access to new ABB Analyze features that allow them to take a deeper dive into data including:

• Total Capture Refraction, the total number of purchases associated with a refraction, which highlights how well a practice can convert a refraction into a sale.

• Overall Capture Rate, a key performance indicator that measures how well a practice captures outside purchases and those tied to a refraction, as converting outside sales into patients that return for an exam is important to growing the practice.

ABB Analyze has expanded electronic health record integrations, with more under development, and has been building new administration tools and an onboarding portal to provide visibility to the process, according to the announcement. Mobile app enhancements and market share and brand reporting also will soon be introduced.

“ABB Analyze is one of the many tools we offer ECPs to help them stay competitive in this ever-changing market,” said Erika Jurrens, ABB Optical's group senior vice president of strategic development and commercialization. “As a unique optical platform that supports doctors with choice, we are committed to providing our customers with value and focusing on the things that matter most to them.”

ABB Analyze is one of several operational solutions for ECPs in the ABB Business Solutions group. Each solution is designed to help ECPs attract and retain patients and drive efficiencies in their practices. In addition to ABB Analyze, there is ABB AutoShip, which gives patients the convenience to order and receive their contact lenses when and where it works for them, and ABB Verify, powered by AffinityAnalytics, a benefits and managed care verification technology solution.
