MINNEAPOLIS—Three optical industry companies—Eyesafe, Cherry Optical, and Visionary Optics have been named to Inc. Magazine's 2021 list of the 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America. Eyesafe, a Minneapolis-based supplier of low blue light solutions for consumer products, was ranked #5 in the computer hardware category and #562 overall. The Inc. 5000 list recognizes the nation's leading high-growth private companies across an array of sectors. Eyesafe revenues have grown more than 850 percent since 2017, driven by strong market demand for low blue light devices, the company said in a statement. Consumer electronics giants like Lenovo, HP, Dell, Acer and ZAGG employ Eyesafe solutions to reduce blue light emissions on digital devices without altering display color or brightness, Eyesafe said.

Cherry Optical, an independent wholesale optical laboratory located in Green Bay, Wis. was ranked #3,483 overall. Cherry Optical reported a 99 percent growth rate over the past three years.

Visionary Optics provides products used to manage corneal irregularity, dry eye and ocular surface disease, through a platform to customize, analyze and order scleral lenses. The company, based in Oak Brook, Ill, was ranked #4,621, and recorded a 55 percent three-year growth rate.
