WASHINGTON, D.C.—A group of leading optometrists from across the U.S. has been named as See Tomorrow Visionaries by the Contact Lens Institute (CLI). The 40 professionals will serve as ambassadors for the new program, SeeTomorrowNow.com, to help inspire their peers and inform consumers as part of the nationwide initiative launching this summer. VMAIL reported on the launch of the program earlier this month. Rick Weisbarth, OD, FAAO, of Alcon and chair of the CLI communications committee, noted, "The See Tomorrow Visionaries have grown their clinical and research practices by consistently finding ways to deepen their relationships with patients, including considering their overall lifestyles as part of their clinical assessment and prescribing.

The campaign launches tomorrow, Thursday, July 22 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT, with a free online event featuring human behavior expert Colette Carlson. It is open to all U.S. eyecare practitioners and staff at no cost. Canadian practitioners are also invited to attend. Registration is open at SeeTomorrowNow.com. The title of the program is "Your Patients' Psyches Have Changed, Has Your  Practice?"

Digital event attendees will also be among the first to have access to an in-practice guide that assists eyecare practitioners and staff in applying the CLI research results and associated research from other health care specialties to their own environment.
